The Riot: A Tale of Two Mothers

My painting is about two mothers linked together, 2000 years apart, by the tragic and violent deaths of their sons. Jesus died at the hands of the Romans and Timothy Thomas died at the hands of the Cincinnati Police. Both men were Descendants of slaves and members of minority groups; both were branded criminals. I grieve for both of them.
